A loan of $1,125 helped to buy natural fertilizers for her crops.

Cerila's story

Cerila is 47 years old. Her husband is Fortunato and they have five children who they care for in their own house, which is located in the town of Rundo.

Farming is her main activity. Cerila and her husband spend their time growing potatoes, corn, and ulluco on their own land and in fields that they lease. Sometimes they do not have the supplies required for production. With each harvest, after months of hard work, her products are sold in the city of Lima where her husband travels constantly. Cerila also enjoys working with animals and has six dairy cows of good quality. She extracts as much milk as she needs to make cheeses, usually 10 molds per day, and then sells them in the city. At the same time, her older daughters oversee an eatery and she plans to to invest the profits from that venture so that she can increase her farm production.

Cerila is a member of the Communal Bank "Rundo al Progreso" and this is her 10th loan with MFP. She is grateful for the financial support she has received throughout this entire time. Cerila promises to be punctual with her loan payments. She is glad to be part of her group since all of the people are responsible and supportive. Cerila will invest the money in the purchase of natural fertilizers to apply on her crops during the next planting season.
