A loan of $950 helped to buy cheese at wholesale prices.

Epifanía's story

40-year old Epifanía is a member of the Ccori Ayllu Community Bank. She is a single mother with eight children. She’s been a member of FINCA Peru for three years and earns her living selling cheese to people living in the rainforest. She also sells meals on credit to a group of workers at a telephone company.

Epifanía says that she has learned a lot from the training that she receives at her community bank. She now knows how to save money and spend it appropriately. She is grateful to the institution for providing easy credit terms to women who have few financial resources.

Epifanía plans to use the loan money to buy cheese at wholesale prices so that she can grow her business.
