A loan of $375 helped to buy lubricants for her motor oil shop.

Paola's story

Paola is a 21 year old woma. She is hard-working, determined, cheerful and very smart. Her partner is Gino, who is a policeman. Together they live in her mother's house, with her parents, sister and brother. They have no children.

She sells lubricants, from a rented shop, in partnership with a girl friend who does most of the time in the shop, as Paola is also a police-woman and has rotating shifts. They started this business more than a month ago. It was her friend's idea and they share profits equally. She considers it quite profitable, as they can sell many lubricants, thanks to high demand and the growth of the automotive park. For this reason they want to hire more staff to serve customers. Paola sees the shop full of customers and does not like that she cannot serve them all properly.

This is her first loan with MFP and she has become a member of a community bank where she feels comfortable, the other members are all friendly and supportive people. She agrees to comply with the repayments. With the requested amount (1000 Soles) she will invest in the purchase of lubricants, in greater volume, to increase their stock available for sale.
