Mahoutondji Group's story

The MAHOUTONDJI group has 11 members, who all live in the same neighborhood. This is the first time that this group has requested the financial support of Alidé. They have done so to increase their business.

The group’s representative is called Cécile, and is pictured with her hand raised in the photo. She is 30 years of age and married to a builder called Urbain. Cécile is the mother of a child who is at school and under her care. She lives with her child and husband, and the household expenses are covered by the couple.

To cover these expenses, Cécile works selling plastic items and food (rice with sauce) in a market in Benin. She gets her supplies in Benin. In order to satisfy her customers and increase her sales and income, Cécile, along with the other members of the MAHOUTONDJI group, has requested her first loan from Alidé.
