A loan of $2,750 helped a member to buy vegetables, meat, drinks, dairy products, and other supplies.

El Progreso Group's story

The El Progreso communal bank is in its fourth cycle, and it has 13 members. All of the members work in a helpful atmosphere with mutual respect. Nelly is a member of the group, and she says that she devotes herself to sales. She has a small, well-stocked grocery store where she sells basic needs items to her customers. She is a very hard-working person. She starts her work day very early in the morning, and she finishes late at night. Her goal is to continue working in order to be able to continue supporting her family. That is why she is requesting the loan. She wants to stock her business with vegetables, meat, drinks, dairy products, and other supplies, which are the ones that sell the most. She is grateful for the help that she is receiving from Kiva and the Fundación Paraguaya.
