A loan of $950 helped to buy natural fertilizers.

Delfina's story

Delfina, age 44, is a tenacious mother who gets her three children ahead alone. Her main business activity is agriculture. She does this on rented farm land as she does not have her own land. She grows potatoes, beans, and wheat. They provide good income with each harvest. She travels to the capital of the country to sell the harvests. She has 19 years of experience, and in all of this time she did what was necessary in order to give her children everything they needed.

She also has two bulls, and she uses them to plough the land. If she rented others it would cost 100 soles a day, and she does not want to do that. She will now work with greater effort in order to provide her children with a better education.

This is her fourteenth loan with MFP. She hopes to carry out her plans with this financial support. She pledges to make her payments as she has done with her previous loans. She is pleased to be part of her communal bank because all of the members are responsible and supportive people.

Delfina will use the loan to buy natural fertilizers to spread among her next crops.
