A loan of $1,125 helped to buy more food to supply his store.

Mario's story

Mario is 31 years old, and a simple, hard-working man. He lives in his own home that he bought 6 years ago with his wife Feliciana, who is 30 years old. The fruits of their love are two children: Nélida and Marilyn, for who they hope to provide a better quality of life. Thanks to the savings from his work in the countryside, he managed to open his grocery store. He sells vegetables, rice by the kilo, sugar, legumes, and preserves, among other foods that his customers need. The person who tends to the store regularly is his wife, and he takes himself to his farmland to oversee the production of his coffee and cacao; however, when he has free time, he helps his wife. His constant enthusiasm and happiness manage to steal a smile from his customers and, because of this, they always frequent his business; in addition, they find what they need there. His biggest wish is to supply his store with more products and, in this way, to sell at wholesale. In the meantime, he will continue his work as usual, attending with the little they started with until he reaches his objective. He knows that he has to be punctual with his loan payments in order to access another loan in the future, and he will do it. He participates in all his cooperative bank’s meetings and imparts his enthusiasm to all the members. He will use the funds from this loan to buy more merchandise to sell in his store.
