Elvia is 28 years of age, and lives with her partner in a small village in the municipality of Taulabe, Comayagua. She works in agriculture, mainly growing basic grains such as corn, beans and coffee. She has grown these crops for two years, and is happy because her production is going to increase and she will obtain good profits.

Elvia used her two previous loans to increase her harvests. The current loan of 3,500 Honduran Lempiras will be invested in preparing and fertilizing the land to ensure better harvests of basic grains like beans and corn, as it is the season for this produce. Elvia plans to use her profits to grow coffee on one more plot of land, and therefore have greater income.
