A loan of $750 helped to buy a large quantity of summer clothing.

Jeimy's story

Jeimy is 28 years old and she is a friendly and hardworking woman. She has been with Christian for 12 years (he is 30 years old) and they have two children together. The first is 9 years old and the younger child is just one year old. They live on her mother-in-law's land where they are building a house into which they put all their effort and hard work. It is in this place where they share the good fortune of educating their children and working to get ahead.

Jeimy sells clothing in different styles, colors, and patterns for women, men, and children. She personally chooses the clothing that she buys wholesale and everything she selects is with her customers in mind. She had done this work for 2 years and sells the clothing either from her home or she makes house calls. She has successfully built a list of regular customers that consists of friends, family and acquaintances, and they always ask for the clothes that she sells. She sometimes sells her clothing via credit, and other times for cash.

Additionally, she also works from her home selling soft drinks, ice and beer. Occasionally she does domestic work in other people's homes. Because of all of these activities, she earns additional income that helps her to meet all of her financial obligations.

She likes her work because she has the liberty to manage her own time and to organize herself so that she can flexible to her customer's schedules. At the beginning, like what happens with all entrepreneurs that start a business, she had some concerns. However, in time, she was able to suppress them and she is now a great businessperson. In the future she hopes to have a clothing store.

This is her fourth credit with MFP. She is happy to know that she has financial support and it makes her feel more secure to continue with her business. She promises to again comply with her payment terms and pay punctually, just like she did with her previous loans. She is happy to belong to the community bank because all of its members are responsible and caring.

With this loan (2000 soles) she will buy a large quantity of apparel in the latest styles and summer designs, which are the most sought after in the warm region where she lives.
