A loan of $5,600 helped a member to buy more stock of food to sell to more people and to buy more sacks of charcoal.

Goodwork Group's story

Agropina, who is in her late 30s, is married with three children who are still going to school. She has been running a food vendor business and selling charcoall for five and a half years now. She works from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be her 10th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy a plot of land, pay school fees and household expenses, start selling charcoal, restock missing items in her food store, and start building her house. She has paid back all of her loans successfully. She wants a loan to buy more stock of food in order to sell to more people and to buy more sacks of charcoal. Her dream is to one day be able to finish building her house.

Agropina will share this loan with her loan group, "Goodwork," which has a total of 16 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
