Touk is one of the residents of the Baray District, Kompong Tom Province. She is 44 years old and is married to Oum, her business partner. This couple doesn’t have any children but they wish to have one soon. Touk generates her income from crops husbandry. She owns a few plots of farmland for growing rice, vegetables, and other seasoning crops. She has been doing this for over 10 years.
In order to further improve her farming business, Touk needs sufficient funds to purchase an additional plot of land to increase her production throughout the year. Consequently, she has applied for a loan from HKL in the sum of 2,400,000 KHR. She believes that this loan will contribute to developing her business as well as improving her standard of living.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia.
