Beronica is 29 years old, single and has made a living selling food for the past two years. This is her first loan with Kiva partner Emprender, and Beronica plans to use it to purchase ingredients like general groceries, potatoes and vegetables to make her meals. She offers a variety of dishes at her dwelling. Her reason for requesting this loan is to increase her working capital and thus generate more income. Beronica faces challenges in her business like overcoming poverty and plans to reap the benefits by improving the quality of life for herself and her family. She feels grateful to Emprender and Kiva for their support.
