A loan of $1,125 helped to stock her business with sausages, meat, and fish.

Yaneriz Melizza's story

Yaneriz is 30 years old. She lives in the Macuelizo Santa Bárbara municipality with her two daughters and her husband.

Looking for a way to get income to cover the household expenses, she started a small grocery store seven months ago. She sells food products like sugar, rice, lard, vegetables, soft drinks, meat, grains, and others.

She wants to keep her business stocked in order to give her customers better service. Therefore, she has decided to request a loan from ODEF for 21,000 lempiras. She will use this loan to buy meats like sausages, fish, chicken and others. She will do this because there are not many businesses that sell meat in her community.

She has the business in her house. In the future she wants to build a specific place for her grocery store. Her goal is to get income that will allow her to give her daughters an education and to support her husband with the household expenses.
