A loan of $700 helped to pay workers and acquire what's needed to grow pineapples.

Sikavi's story

Mrs. Sikavi A. is married to a grower and is the mother of five (5) children. She did not have the chance for an education. She fights for the education of her children, so they won't have the same life as her. Honest and committed, she is one of the women of note in her village. Her main activity is the growing and sale of pineapples. This very profitable crop has always permitted Mrs. A. to provide for the needs of her children. A very scrappy woman, she has added the sale of cassava root flour to the sale of pineapples. Today, she wishes to increase the size of her pineapple field because the quality of the variety she grows means she is receiving orders from hotels in Lomé. She is asking for a loan of $700 dollars that she will use to pay workers and to acquire what's needed for the production of pineapples.
