Vikindu Group's story

Mwajuma, who is in her late 40s, is a widow with four grown-up children. She has a retail shop business and also sells salt at wholesale price. She works from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit. This will be Mwajuma's 3rd loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to start selling salt at wholesale price and to pay household expenses. She has repaid back all her loans successfully. Mwajuma wants a new loan to increase the stock in her retail shop stock and buy more salt to resell. Her dream is to increase her retail shop stock, buy more salt to resell and start selling cigarettes at wholesale price. Her dream is to one day be able to finish building her house. Mwajuma will share this loan with her loan group "Vikindu", which has a total of 15 members who will hold each accountable for paying back the loan.
