Celia Julia's story

Celia is 48 years old, she lives in the city of Pisco with her partner and her young son. She is a very happy, enthusiastic and hard-working person who makes every effort to provide for her family and give her young son a brighter future. Celia unfortunately finished her studies at secondary school level, due to a lack of financial resources she was unable to pursue a university course, which is why Celia wants to secure the well-being and future of her son so that he can be a good professional and a true person.

With the support of her partner, and her keen desire to get ahead, Celia opened her small grocery store 2 years ago. She works roughly 12 hours a day, during which time she serves an average of 35 customers. She believes that her business is doing well thanks to the good prices and the friendly service she gives her customers.

Celia is extremely grateful to the Kiva loan lenders as thanks to the help they give, she will be able to buy merchandise such as rice, sugar, oil, milk and detergents amongst others. In this way, Celia will have a store that is better stocked and she will be able to increase her sales and financial income. With these increased sales, little by little and in a not-so-distant future, she hopes to be able to finish building her home and give her family a better quality of life.
