A loan of $1,500 helped to repair her vehicle to sell beef and fish to customers.

Anita's story

Anita, 52, is married and lives with her husband and one of her daughters in one of the rural communities in the district of Mórrope, which is a farming area whose inhabitants are humble and follow tradition quite closely. Most of the communities do not have basic utilities.

For four years she has been selling beef and fish from her motor-taxi (a vehicle comprised of a motorcycle and cabin for passengers and cargo). She works as a street vendor in the rural communities in the area where she offers her merchandise to the local villagers. She also has a motor-taxi for transportation services in the area. With both businesses she can help her husband support the family.

Anita wants to provide maintenance for her two vehicles to make sure she can keep earning a daily income. She also wants to buy an overlock sewing machine for her daughter who is a seamstress. Therefore, she is requesting a loan in the amount of 4,000 PEN through Edpyme Alternativa to help her meet her goal.
