A loan of $750 helped to buy seasonal clothing to increase sales.

Milagros Del Socorro's story

Milagros, 34, is a mother and lives with her husband and two children in her father's home. It is located in the urban part of the Tambogrande District, which is a farming and commercial communty in the Piura Region.

For over six years, she has been selling clothing and accessories out of her home. She also goes around to the district villages, most of which are rural communities. Since she has been in business for quite some time, she is well known and has a stable customer base. She uses the income from her business to help her husband support the family.

She wants to buy winter merchandise to meet client demand for the season. She felt it was wise to request a loan in the amount of 2,000 PEN through Edpyme Alternativa to buy sweaters, long-sleeved polo shirts, pants and other products to help meet her goal.

Milagros is quite determined to get ahead and improve her lifestyle. She is very well-known in the area where she lives, and people feel she is responsible and hard-working. She is grateful to the Kiva lenders for their support.
