A loan of $300 helped to purchase plows and shovels in order to sow basic grains.

Concepción Del Carmen's story

Concepción Del Carmen has been growing beans and corn for over 15 years, and thanks to this business she has been able to get herself and her family ahead. Concepción owns a small plot of land and she wishes to make the most of it, which has been very difficult so far, since she doesn't dispose of the earnings she needs to do that. Concepción is very responsible and dedicated to her household. She lives with her husband and two children who help her to sow and to separate the kernels from the corncobs, so they can obtain the corn grains that they later sell. Concepción requests a loan in order to purchase the supplies she needs for sowing, such as seeds, shovels, plows, etc., and with this she hopes to get a larger harvest. Concepción very much wishes to get ahead and improve her financial stability, and she works very hard to achieve that.
