A loan of $725 helped to construct a zero-grazing unit and install an irrigation system.

Frankline's story

Frankline is a farmer in the Nkubu area of Central Kenya and is married with two children aged ten and three years. He runs his farm with the help of one farmhand, producing maize, bananas and beans that are sold to the local markets.

Frankline has requested a loan of 60,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to install an irrigation system on his farm at a cost of 30,000 KES, and to construct a zero grazing unit at the same cost. He believes this will mitigate the challenge of insufficient rains and improve his farming income, the major portion of which he will channel toward education for the children.

He adds that animal diseases are a great challenge to the farmers. He commends the Juhudi Kilimo loan services.
