A loan of $300 helped buy apples, pears, bananas, watermelons, potatoes, cabbage, and onions to sell.

Maria Elena's story

Maria sells fruit, vegetables, and fish. She is a housewife who lives with her husband and has a daughter that she helps economically. Maria learned the business from friends; she had previously only dedicated her efforts to agriculture. Now, for some time, she has been involved in commerce.

Maria is requesting a loan to buy fresh products such as apples, pears, bananas, watermelons, and also potatoes, cabbage, and onions, and, if possible, some shell fish. This loan will help improve her business inventory and offer a greater variety, in hopes of generating better earnings for her home.

Maria's aspiration is to have a much more ample business and better sales with her present clientèle, and thus provide greater economic stability for her family.
