José Abraham's story

José Abraham, married and 49 years old, is a cobbler. His immediate family is a family of four, made up of his 4 sons and his wife. He has had his own business for 7 years. He launched his business with a lot of effort and his own capital. With the passage of time he has seen his client base grow. As a result he needs to invest more working capital, buying the various raw materials he uses, such as white glue, yellow glue, fine shoe lining, foam lining, shoe soles, shoe shanks, and other parts and raw materials for shoemaking. In order to satisfy his clients´ demand, he has three workers who support him in order to rapidly produce his products, such as women’s shoes, which are his specialty.

José has returned to the office of Kiva´s partner Ceprodel to request a new loan, a loan that will allow him to purchase the raw materials he needs. He has received various orders and does not want to miss the opportunity to make the sales. He comments that the help he receives through Kiva’s partner has brought him good benefits, economically and with his family. For all of this, he is very grateful.
