A loan of $650 helped to supply her grocery store by buying rice, beans, corn, and other products.

Andrea De Fatima's story

Andrea is from the community of Las Canoas Tipitapa. She is married with three children who are 18, 14, and 3 years old. Only the 14 year old is in school. Andrea has a grocery store and also makes tortillas and cheese curds to sell. She began her business 3 years ago with money she received when she was made unemployed from her previous job in a childcare center. Andrea's sister helps her with the business and she sells everything from her house where the customers go to buy things. Andrea also receives other income as her husband works as a machine operator in mines. Today, Andrea is requesting this loan to supply her grocery store by buying rice, beans, corn, and other products. She says that this loan will help her to restock and have greater profits. She also says that, once she has paid off this loan, she will take out another loan to invest in sales and expanding more.
