A loan of $400 helped to buy shellfish.

Dioselina Isabel's story

Dioselina is a member of the Mujeres Triunfadoras communal bank. She lives in Cuenca, a city that is bathed by 4 rivers which give it the name of Santa Ana de los 4 Rios (Santa Ana of the 4 Rivers) and it has been a World Heritage Site since 1999. Its people are friendly and gentile and they maintain the culture and traditions.

Dioselina, 41, is married and has 3 children: 18, 13 and 7. Her oldest son works and lives on his own, her second son is in middle school and her youngest son is in a little school in the city. Her husband is a salesman. They don’t have their own house so they live in a rented one.

Dioselina has sold shellfish for the last 11 years. She works everyday but not on a regular schedule and when she has time, she sells cosmetics.

This is her second loan with the communal bank and she will use the new financing to buy more shellfish.

Her goal is to continue growing her business.
