Irene's story

Irene is 40 years old, married and has one two-year-old child. He lives in the city of San Pedro Sula, Cortes.

Ten months ago, Irene established his own business. He was living abroad for a while and with the savings he was able to accrue, he returned and started his business. He sells products like cosmetics, body creams, dental products, hair gel, clips, talcum powders, shampoos, mirrors, etc. He sells in a small stall located in the central market. He has his own customer base and up to now, his sales have been good. With this he has been able to pay for the necessities for his family. He works at his business 12 hours a day.

In order to make purchases, continue making the daily income to give his family their daily needs, and to grow his business, he requested a loan from ODEF of 15,000 lempiras to purchase a variety of cosmetics, creams, lotions, etc. He believes that this investment will increase his capital and he will be able to make sales with sufficient product.

His goal in the future is to continue getting loans with ODEF that will allow his to grow in sales and be able to expand within the market.
