A loan of $4,125 helped a member to buy more sacks of charcoal and more local chicken to resell.


Karibu View Group's story

Mariam, who is in her early thirties, is married and has two children who go to school.

She has two businesses, selling charcoal and local chicken. She has had these businesses for two years now. She works from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily and is able to make a very good monthly profit.

This will be her first loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She wants to use the loan for buying more sacks of charcoal and more local chicken to resell. Her dream is to one day be able to start selling rice at wholesale price.

She will share this loan with her loan group "Karibu View", which has a total of twelve members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
