TOVINONVIGBE is a group of twelve people, whose members live in the same village. The representative of the group, Brigitte (whose hand is raised in the photo), is 44 years old and married to a man named Erick. The couple has a child who attends school and is dependent on them. In addition to their child, they have another child who is dependent on them. Brigitte lives with her husband and her children. The couple shares the household expenses. For three years, Brigitte has been selling corn and condiments in a locality in Benin which enables her to contribute to the family expenses. Brigitte buys her products in a region of Benin. This is the first time that Brigitte and the other members of the TOVINONVIGBE group request financial aid from ALIDé with a view to strengthening the working capital of their business and to give more satisfaction to their customers.
TOVINONVIGBE est un groupement de douze personnes, dont les membres résident dans le même village. La représentante du groupe, Brigitte (dont la main est levée sur la photo), est âgée de 44 ans et est mariée à un certain Erick. Le couple a un enfant scolarisé et à leur charge. En plus de leur enfant, le couple a un autre enfant à charge. Brigitte vit ensemble avec ses enfants et son mari. Le couple assure ensemble les différentes charges de la maison. Depuis près de trois ans, Brigitte vend du maïs et des conditions dans une région du Bénin, ce qui lui permet de contribuer aux diverses charges familiales. Brigitte s’approvisionne dans une région du Bénin. C’est la première fois que Brigitte et les autres membres du groupe TOVINONVIGBE sollicitent l’appui financier de ALIDé en vue de renforcer leur fonds de roulement et leur activité et de mieux répondre aux exigences de leur clientèle.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
