Mala is 45 years old. She is married and blessed with one son in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been running a cosmetics store for more than two years, earning approximately $5 per day. Her husband runs a business of purchasing cattle to resell. He earns about $8 per day. In order to improve her family’s finances, Mala is requesting a loan of $1500 to purchase more cattle to resell. This money will help her husband raise capital in his business and earn more income to support the family. In the future, Mala would like to expand her business and help her son earn a bachelor’s degree. Moreover, she hopes to build a new house as soon as possible.
