A loan of $375 helped to stock her store.

Gladys's story

Gladys is 29 years old and single, but is the mother of Nayeli (9 years). She lives in the home she bought two years ago after working for a long time and built is from sturdy materials (brick and cement).

She is a very hardworking woman. After she separated from her husband she had to get ahead on her own and it was this way that she began her grocery business a year ago. Her shop is located in her own community, which is located an hour and a half from the main city. She says that things have gone very well for her, now that people from her area buy from her store, where she sells vegetables, rice, sugar, milk, meat, snacks, drinks, and other foods.

This will be her third loan through MFP and she is very grateful to those who have trusted her with this loan so that she can continue with her plans for her work. Likewise she is committed to be punctual with her payments. She is also grateful to the other members of the communal bank for their unity.

She will use the 1,000 PEN from this loan to stock her store so that she will always carry what her customers request.
