A loan of $4,100 helped a member to purchase shoes and perfume for sale.

Las 3 Rosas Group's story

The name of this group is Las 3 Rosas, and it comprises three hardworking women who are as beatuful as roses.

They are originally from the city of Pinotepa Nacional, Oaxaca. One of the most special dances in this community are the "sones" and "chilenas."

One of its members is María Dolores, who is 42 years old. Better known as Mari, she has worked selling comforters, perfume, and plastic molds by catalogue for 13 years. One of the characteristics that make her business stand out is how very kindly she treats her customers. Above all, she is a hard worker and has dreams and goals to achieve. She says that at first she was able to start her business buying shoes and paying for them in installments. Then, with the profits, she started buying shoes in greater quantities, as well as perfume, which is what she sells the most and generates more profit.

According to her experience, Mari considers that the qualities a woman needs to have in order to perform her work are kindness and a willingness to be active, since you have to go out to surrounding neighborhoods and offer the merchadise. Mari says that one of the most unpleasant situations she has faced in her personal life is the illness suffered by her daughter, which involves psychomotor impairment. María's daughter is her strength and motivation, and one of her dreams is to keep earning money in order to buy the medicines that she needs.

Mari requested the loan to purchase more shoes and perfume to sell in retail.

The other members of the group are:

Gaudencia, who works selling livestock. Salustia, who works selling grocery merchandise.

They want to thank Vision Fund for helping all the working mothers who want to do their best to help their children.

In this group: Gaudencia , Salustia , María Dolores
