A loan of $2,625 helped a member buy refreshments, juices and bottles of water.

La Juquilita Del Rincón Group's story

The “La Juquilita del Rincón” group was named that way by the members for 2 reasons: it’s the name of the community in which they live and they are devoted to the virgin of Juquilita.

Procula is 43 years old and is married; she has 4 children who are studying (2 boys and 2 girls). She has a little refreshment stand that she opened two years ago. She explains that she decided to open it because of the lack of work in her community and because the only way to make a living is to start your own business.

The loan she is requesting will be used to buy more refreshments, juice and bottles of water to continue her sales.
Procula hopes to buy a refrigerator in order to chill more refreshments. She’s aware that constantly investing and persisting in her business will result in being able to convert her little stand into a bigger place.

She’s grateful to Vision Fund and Kiva for the support and confidence they’ve been given in order to improve their qualities of life and economic solvency.

The members of the “La Juquilita del Rincón” group and their businesses are the following:
Procula and Neida have refreshment stands, Francisca sells groceries and Emiliana and Rufina each have a poultry shop.
