A loan of $450 helped to buy raw materials to make bricks.

Ramon Emilse's story

Ramón, an inhabitant of Diriomo, a municipality of Granada, makes his living producing and selling bricks. He is married; his children are adults and independent.

He started his business with the help of his father-in-law who gave him the material and a place to exhibit his products. Currently, both Ramón and his wife work to get their family ahead - she is a grocery store vendor and he makes and sells bricks, products which he sells in his home.

Before Ramón used to work for a factory where he was paid on a weekly basis, but he decided to set up his own business to find a better way of generating more income. His customers come to his home for bricks, which are produced at a very high quality. He seeks this loan to buy the raw materials to make bricks. This loan will help him to obtain more raw materials and be able to complete the orders placed with him on time, while the place where he exhibits his products belongs to his father-in-law, he treats it as if he were the owner.
