A loan of $1,125 helped to buy two covering machines, sewing materials, and two mannequins.

Anith's story

Anith, age 39, is a hardworking and enthusiastic woman. She is also cheerful and extroverted. Her partner Adán is a merchant and the father of her two children. Anith lives at her mother-in-law's house with her, her partner, and her 15-year-old son Dan.

Her business involves producing clothes. She learned this trade while studying at a center for occupational education. Anith began working independently at the age of 19 with a sewing machine she bought with her own capital. Now she has six machines that produce different finishes. Anith considers her business to be profitable because of the good revenue that it generates. She also enjoys working because she can have an income to cover her personal and household expenses. Adith also likes to spend time doing something that she enjoys since it provides her with a distraction and makes her feel like a productive individual. She has plans to expand the space in her workshop so that she will feel more comfortable and be able to display her finished garments.

This is her 12th loan with the MFP organization, so she has had several years to become familiar with the loans. Anith promises to be punctual with her payments, just as she was with her previous loans. She gets along well with the other members of her Communal Bank since she has known them for a long time and considers them to be responsible and supportive people. The loan amount of 3,000 PEN that she requested will be used to buy two covering machines, valued at 700 PEN and 450 PEN respectively, and sewing materials (fabrics, thread, elastics, and other supplies). Anith will also buy two mannequins for exhibiting her finished garments.
