Arlene's story

This is Arlene, 48, resident of Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines. She is married to Pol, her business partner. At this time, she is working hard to be able to send her children all the way through college.

Arlene operates a RTW, thermal paper and chlorine distribution business. She mainly offers RTW products with many designs to choose from. They also offer people the privilege to make their own design. Seasonal demands for clothing like basketball jerseys, costumes and such are available all year round. She also distributes chlorine and thermal paper to local customers in the community. She earns a minimum of Php500 in sales every day.

To help her continue the operations of her business, she is requesting a Php 50,000 loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy additional supplies of RTW, chlorine and thermal paper products needed for her business. She expects a boost in her business income as she expands her business.

Arlene dreams of beingable to give her children a good and high quality education through all her hard work on her business. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her work every week.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay Micro Finance loans.
