Alipio Benito's story

Alipio is a 63 year ols man. He is with Ricardina, a 61 year old woman he lives with in the "Pacto" parish of the "Quito" canton, where the capital of Ecuador is. This rural parish is two hours from Quito and on the way to the coastal area of the country. The main characteristics of the region are its flora and fauna. Most of its residents work in farming and cattle raising.

Alipio raises cattle for milk. He sells the milk to area "collectors" who are in charge of receiving all of the milk in the area and sending it to the pasteurizer that hires them. If Alipio had more cattle he could have more milk and upon selling it have more income. That is why he has decided to invest in buying a dairy cow and to do that he will take out a loan.

IN his free time he likes to be at home with his wife, who is a housewife. His dream is to improve his quality of life by growing his business. He wants to conyinue with the milk production since it is an activity that he likes.
