Burulush's story

Burulush is 41 years old, a widow, and raising two children by herself, as well as five foster children, which she took in after her sister died. As a main source of income for her family, Burulush has worked with livestock breeding and field crop cultivation since 1998. After having started this business with the purchase of two cows, Burulush, due to her hard work, currently has five cows, ten sheep and one horse at her farm. Further, Burulush cultivates 1.0 hectares of land, where she grows clover (for fodder). The monthly income from the farm is in the amount of 10,000 som (KGS). With an aim to further develop her business, Burulush turned to the organization "Bai Tushum & Partners" for a loan in the amount of 45,000 som (KGS) for the purchase of sheep with the goal to fatten and resell them. Burulush plans to invest the income from the loan in further growing her business through a grocery store, in order to have the possibility to give the children a good education in the future.
