A loan of $300 helped to buy agricultural products like fertilizers, herbicides, tools, and seeds.

Juana's story

Juana, who is 53 years old, lives with her life partner and their two children. They are independent in their own home in the coastal area of the country. Juana has engaged in the craft of tailoring clothing for the past 14 years. She is very well-known in the area where she resides and people prefer to go to her to do their clothing since she makes custom [clothing] to the taste of her customers.

She is very cheerful and enterprising because, in addition [to her other activities], together with her spouse and her children she works in agriculture: the planting of corn, beans, and squash. Juana would like to better her way of life and for that reason is requesting a loan [through] Apoyo Integral with which she would like to buy agricultural products like fertilizers, herbicides, tools, and seeds, as well as [use the loan] for the payment of the labor to plant two acres of land. She feels confident that she will be able to obtain better harvests this year; and if that does happen, she will repay the loan ahead of schedule.
