A loan of $750 helped to buy seeds for corn.

Julia's story

Julia, 29 years old, is a hard-working woman who lives with her husband, Antonio. They have two children (Stefany and José), who they care for in their own home in the town of Chacas.

Together, Julia and her husband began working in agriculture, using the land inherited by her husband. She grows corn, squash, and potatoes. They make the most of the ample sowing seasons as much as possible, because they know that their efforts will be rewarded. The better quality products they grow, the more income they will earn. In addition, Julia also works by raising animals (cows, pigs, and sheep), which she fattens to later sell to the butchers who constantly visit her. With the milk from the cows, she also produces around 10 moulds of cheese a day, which she sells to the residents of the same area. They all know about the great quality cheese she prepares.

Julia belongs to the Sarita Colonia support group and this is her sixth loan with MFP. She is grateful for the opportunity they offer, so she will be able to improve her business. Therefore, she promises to be punctual with the payments. She likes to work with the association, where all the people are responsible and supportive.

Julia will invest the requested loan into buying seeds for corn, as she is thinking of planting on a larger piece of land.
