A loan of $1,125 helped to buy natural fertilizers and corn seeds for her next planting of one hectare of corn.

Juana's story

Juana, age 48, lives with her husband, Paulino, and their four minor children. They are raising their children in their own house in Chacas, a rural community.

She and her husband go together every day to take care of their corn and potato crops, which are on their own land. As she likes farming very much, she learned the way to use the left over fertilizers and seeds. At her house she built a nursery where she grows diverse vegetables.

During the harvest time she sells their products in the city. She takes the products there herself in order to sell them. She knows the place and its businessmen very well.

She now has two cows that she is planning on feeding and fattening. She will do this to be able to get the milk and make cheese. She hopes to firm up her new project.

She belongs to the Sarita Colonia communal bank, and this is his fifth loan with MFP. She is grateful for the opportunity they are giving her because she will be able to improve her business. She pledges to be punctual with her payments. She likes working in her communal bank where everyone is responsible and supportive.

Juana will use the requested money to buy natural fertilizers and corn seeds for her next planting of one hectare of corn.
