A loan of $375 helped to purchase basic ingredients for preparing her dishes.

Martha's story

Martha is 38 years old and lives at her parents' house with her husband and two children. They reside in the town of Cajas Chico. Two years ago, Martha started a business selling food, juices, and sweets on a piece of land given to her by her parents. She and her husband decided to sell traditional dishes and build a countryside restaurant on this land, but that dream has yet to be fulfilled. In the meantime, they save whenever they can and make improvements to the infrastructure of their shop. Every day, Martha prepares breakfast and lunch for the construction workers who have jobs near her house. Most of all, she has seen her business become profitable despite of the various difficulties she has had to deal with, such as the constant rise in food prices. For this reason, she came up with a strategy for stocking up on non-perishable ingredients and buying them in large quantities so as to reduce the cost of her investment.

This is her second loan with MFP and she is very excited to know that she will have a successful experience. Martha has decided to adopt a responsible attitude so that she can achieve the highest level of trust required for obtaining future loans. For now, she is grateful for having this opportunity to receive a loan for improving her business. Martha will invest the money in the purchase of basic ingredients for preparing her dishes.
