Unidas Para Triunfar Group's story

This group is called “United in Order to Triumph” as the members of the group will triumph together in whatever they undertake. Mr. Jose is a member of this group. He is 46 years old and is married to Mrs. Paula. They have three children. Only Richard is a student. He is in sixth grade. Jose has had a small restaurant for the past 25 years. He lives in Ometepec, Guerrero. Mr. Jose decided to begin this small business as he had previously worked for several years as a cook. This is how he learned the restaurant business. He decided to use his knowledge for his own benefit. This loan that he is requesting will be used to buy more supplies such as: meat, radishes, onions, coriander, oil, salt, tortillas, etc. He decided to continue to invest in his business so that it can grow further. His sales and investment will improve. He also needs to buy more kitchen utensils and a grill. He is very thankful to the lenders from KIVA and to the Reality Foundation. Thanks to them he is able to progress and have his own business. Mr. Jose’s other companions are Laura (first aid), Minerva (candle making), Lucia, Sofia and Nancy who do other types of businesses such as a clothing store, a pharmacy, a restaurant, a bakery, a grocery store, a shoe store, a housewares store and cosmetic sales.
