Fiorella Dora's story

Fiorella is a 20-year-old woman living with her parents in the city of Ica, Parcona District. Despite her young age, she’s a very well-centered young woman who very much wants to improve herself. In her free times she enjoys dancing and sometimes prepares a very delicious “Arroz con Pollo” [Chicken with Rice] to share a delicious lunch with her family. With much dedication she completed her secondary school but sadly for lack of resources was unable to study a university career but would have liked to have been able to study Nursing.

With mush enthusiasm and thanks to savings she was able to acquire working on a large agricultural spread; she started her home-based grocery store business. She spends about 10 hours daily at work and can see up to 30 customers per day. She believes that her business is running well because she offers good prices and takes care of her customers well.

Fiorella is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the help provided she will be able to buy groceries like rice, sugar, oil, milk, etc. to better stock her store and win over more customers that way. In this way Fiorella will increase income and gradually enlarge the business. In the future she hopes to have a bigger store downtown.
