A loan of $2,425 helped to stock her retail jewelry business.

Artemia Emperatriz's story

Sra. Artemia Emperatriz is from Pinotepa Nacional in Oaxaca. The town is know for its traditional earrings and bracelets made from cut glass.
Dona Artemia, as she is widely known here, is a creative woman, full of life and always smiling.
She tells us that she has operated a business selling jewelry--bracelets, earrings, rings, rosaries--for seven years. The business has grown over the years, a consequence of her love, dedication and hard work.
She adds that one of her favorite things is to go to nearby neighborhoods, with her merchandise, of course, and sell all that she can.
Dona Artemia is very pleased to be a Vision Found client because she has been able to buy more jewelry to stock her business.
She tells us that she is grateful to the foundation for its support because its loans allow her to continue her business.
