A loan of $850 helped to buy coffee plants in order to revitalize her farm.

Cirina's story

Cirina is an active woman who works as a coffee producer alongside her husband Máximo. They help one another with the farm chores that are needed to maintain this crop. Cirina is also a homemaker and is charged with looking after their small children. The coffee they produce is organic and requires no chemical fertilizers during the production process, which helps to preserve the environment. Cirina and her husband currently produce a total of seven tons of coffee per year and need to buy coffee plants to revitalize part of their farm. This will increase their production to approximately 12 tons in total.

In order for this to happen, Cirina needs to acquire a loan. She is also interested in receiving technical assistance from the specialists at “Unión Regional de Huatusco” so that she can make the most of the natural resources that her land has to offer. Cirina and her husband dream of providing their children the opportunity to study for a university degree so that they can have better opportunities in the future.
