A loan of $1,050 helped to pay for fertilizer and laborers.

Elvin Yobany's story

The young Elvin is 29 years old, is single and has one child. He is very friendly, responsible and hard working. He makes a living growing coffee, a skill that he learned from his father, who has made a living in this occupation since Elvin was a child. He has decided to cultivate his own farm. The land is worked by a few laborers who help him with the maintenance of the farm. His work schedule is from 6:00 am until 1:00 pm. On the other hand, one of Elvin's advantages is that his property is located in a zone which is very suitable for the cultivation of coffee and therefore coffee production goes very well.

Elvin is requesting this loan because he needs to purchase fertilizer and pay his laborers to weed the land, giving him an appropriate and improved maintenance of the farming. With the help of this loan he will be able to maintain his farm well fertilized and clean. His goal is to continue planting in order to become a good coffee producer and keep the farm in good conditions. This will generate better earnings for him and allow him to help support his parents and child. Elvin has had three cycles of receiving support from FAMA with loans he has obtained and expects to invest the money well to make his payments on time.
