A loan of $800 helped to buy cement and sand.

Carlos Danilo's story

Carlos Danilo is 42 years old; he is married and has five children. His wife sells food for a living. They live in the community of Coyolar, San Esteban. He started his business ten years ago with a small sale of sand and stone; he then extended his business and he now also sells cement blocks. He works along with his children and his wife, who help him to keep up his business. His work schedule is from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. One advantage he has is that he does not have to pay for staff as he works with his children and his wife. Carlos Danilo needs this loan to invest in materials, such as cement and sand to make cement blocks, so he can offer his customers a variety of products. The only challenge he faces is competition because there are various other people who do the same thing, but Carlos offers his customers a quality product and efficient service. His goal is to expand his business and introduce new products for his customers. Carlos Danila has been a client of FAMA's for over ten loan cycles and he has been able to make his payments on time.
