Efrén's story

Efrén, 20 years old, is a enterprising and hard-working young man, as well as dedicated. He is single and lives with his parents and sister in his parents' home.

The family business is selling fish. Efrén's work begins in the early morning when he goes to buy fish wholesale with his parents at the river port near where he lives. Then, throughout the day, they resell the fish at a markup to the merchants of the markets. Efrén started this business 3 years ago, depending on his father's help. Additionally, they have a small grocery store at home, which sells food and basic necessities and is attended to buy Efrén's mother. This store generates additional income. Efrén likes what he does, in addition to earning income, he also has to pay for higher education. On the other hand, one aspect he doesn't like is having to get up so early in the morning. He has plans to continue with his business and expand the grocery store to turn it into a successful business.

This is his second loan with the MFP institution. He says that he feels grateful for the support of receiving a loan. Therefore, he promises to complete the payments so he has a good credit record. He also says that he feels comfortable with his communal bank, and that he considers its members to be good people.

With the loan his is requesting, 1000 nuevo soles, he will invest in the grocery store by buying products in large volume, looking for lower prices.
