A loan of $575 helped to buy cosmetics, perfumes and shampoos.

Olga Maria's story

Olga María is a member of “Las Lomas de Yarina”, a Communal Bank located in the Yarinacocha district, in the Ucayali department. She is 53 years old, and she is a single mother of 3 adult children, who live with their own families. She has rejoined the Communal Bank because she needed a new loan to invest it in her activity. She sells beauty products door to door, going to her customers’ houses.

This new loan of 1,500.00 PEN will be used to buy 2 shampoos, half a dozen of lipsticks, 3 perfumes for men, 2 colognes for women, 1 set of jewellery (necklace and earrings), 12 bottles of nail polish, 1 blusher, hand cream, 2 eye shadows and 2 eyeliners. Through Manuela Ramos she has received some working capital to carry on her activity and to provide her children with the required education.
