Ly is 32 years old. She is a mother of three children and resides with her husband in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. For over 10 years, Ly has been growing vegetables, flowers and raising pigs, earning approximately $4 per day. Her husband is a construction worker who earns about $7 per day. All of her children are still in her care and in school.

In order to improve her family’s livelihood, Ly is requesting a loan of $1000 to purchase piglets to breed and sell when they gain weight. By doing so, she will earn more income to support the family. In the future, she would like to run an additional business of raising fish for income and help her children earn a bachelor’s degree.
