A loan of $2,575 helped a member buy belts and wallets for men since father’s day is approaching.

La Piramide Group's story

Luis is 23 years old; he is a part of the Pyramid communal bank and says it is named like that because the neighborhood is located near the Zirahuato archeological area where there are store pyramids. He is originally from San Felipe de los Alzati and the main source of work is growing poinsettia’s and is the main producer at a national level when it is sold during the Christmas season. Luis for over 5 years has sold women’s accessories like costume jewelry, perfumes, cloth handbags, hair bands, combs, barrettes, bracelets, necklaces, rings, nail polish, makeup, etc. He says that he sells his items in different open markets all week everyday and everything that he sells is bought in the capital since they have lower prices and he can earn more. At present, he needs a loan to buy belts and wallets for men since father’s day is approaching and people are looking for gifts. Luis says that if you give him a loan he will be very happy since he will have a better merchandize in stock.

The other three members of the group are Elia, Patricia and Fidel; they will use their loans to buy decorative flowers, merchandize for a small grocery store, materials for the poinsettia’s and other flowers.

In this group: Elia, Patricia, Luis, Fidel
